As an international student who has lived in both the United States and Vietnam, I wanted to create a project that blends the cultural influences of both worlds. This idea led to the creation of a 2026 Calendar celebrating the Year of the Horse.The concept reimagines the horse through twelve unique illustrations, with each design inspired by the traditions, holidays, and seasonal spirit of a different month. Rather than serving only as a calendar, the project demonstrates how a cohesive illustration system can extend across multiple applications, including branding, stickers, packaging, merchandise, and other visual identities. It showcases the flexibility and scalability of the design while celebrating cultural storytelling through illustration.
